Program for Thursday, October 9, 2008

Red Dog Farm comes to Gate City Rotary Thursday October 9th.  Don't know who's responsible for bringing Garland Graham of Red Dog to the O.Henry, but I've browsed their website and read the News-Record's articles of June 22 and September 21, and believe we're in for a treat.  Garland's husband, Gary, is a member of Greensboro Rotary.  If you've ever wondered what to do with that extra dog, cat, horse, goat, sheep, cow, mule, burro, pot-bellied pig, or llama that keeps banging around your trashcans at night, look no further.  I once put a cat (all vaccinations and checkups current, litter box, litter, cat carrier, collar, leash, food, and the whole nine yards) on the neighborhood listserve, and she was gone (to a good home in the neighborhood) in a minnit!  I am not making this up.

Rodney, the original Red Dog is pictured above.

  1. I really hate to miss this one. But getting there from here in SC could be a problem. Somebody take notes! :)

  2. Should be a great program tomorrow - I see they started out fostering Golden Retrievers from TGRR - that's where we got our adopted 12 yr old GR "Sassy" - BTW TGRR is a wonderful group of people who will help find just about any breed you want to rescue, although they obviously would prefer you adopt a GR. They are very professional and very dedicated to the welfare of thier charges.

ok, here's the ONLY rule, if you visit this blog, PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT. Say something, anything, it doesn't have to be grammatically correct (ex, "the passive tense was used"), and for goodness' sake, don't worry about punctuation or spelling or anything else. If you can't think of something to say saying 'Hi' is is great. But don't even think about sending the author an email, calling him or her on the phone, or seeing them at Rotary and saying something like, "Hey _______, "I really like the Gate City Rotary blog and enjoyed your post on such and such" or something lame like that," and the author not find your comments here.
